Barstool Sports founder and owner Dave Portnoy has sided with Taylor Swift over her feud with Dave Grohl after the Foo Fighters frontman suggested she not sing live.
The 47-year-old businessman and social media personality, who is never shy about questions about his love for T-Swift, is defending the pop queen after Groh attacked her last weekend. He called her sold-out ‘Eras Tour’ the ‘errors’ tour and also pointed out that his band ‘does play live’.
“Listen, I like Dave Groh. I’m a Dave Grohl guy,” Portnoy said TMZ initially after being asked what he thought about the rock ‘n’ roller ‘going after his girl.’
“If the Swifties come for his throat and burn his house down… That’s what happens when you come after the Swifties in the middle of a concert… I don’t know why you’d want to light that fuse…
‘I think she sings live too. But listen, that’s Dave Grohl. I love Dave Grohl. I love the Foo Fighters. I don’t know why you take that photo. Don’t cry to me when they come after you,” he added in a warning to the guitarist.

Taylor responded to the Foo Fighters singer by emphasizing that her band always performs live
Swift responded to Grohl during her final London concert on Sunday at Wembley by introducing her band to the sold-out crowd, while stressing that her musicians played live throughout the entire three-and-a-half-hour show.
She told the audience: “What you just did is an unforgettable moment, not only in my life, but in the lives of every member of our crew. The band that will play live for you for three and a half hours tonight.
“They deserve this so much and so do all my fellow artists, and you have given it to us so generously. We will never forget it.’
On Saturday night, Grohl elaborated on Swift and her Eras Tour, suggesting that the Grammy Award-winning artist lip-sings during her performances.

He told fans at his concert at the London Stadium: ‘We were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier. I know she’s on her ‘errors’ tour.
“I’m telling you man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. That’s why we like to call our tour the Mistakes Tour.
‘We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f***ing mistakes too. Only a few.’
The bandleader clarified: ‘That’s because we actually play live. What?’
Some fans suggested that Grohl’s attack was partly fueled by the abuse his daughter faced from Swifties, Taylor Swift’s fans.
Violet Grohl previously criticized Swift for flying on a private jet between concert stops.
