Barry McGuigan’s son Shane has spoken out about the emotional moment his boxer father burst into tears on I’m A Celebrity during a conversation about his late daughter.
Viewers watched Monday night’s episode of the ITV show as an emotional Barry spoke about the death of his beloved daughter Danika.

Danika McGuigan, who worked as an actress, died surrounded by her ‘devastated’ family after losing her battle with cancer at the age of 33.
She struggled with her health from a young age, after being diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 11.
Danika was Barry’s only daughter, along with her three brothers Shane, Jake and Blane, who he shares with long-term wife Sandra McGuigan.

Shane has followed in his father’s footsteps and has become one of the most successful boxing trainers.
Barry has dealt with the grief privately for five years, but spoke about the tragedy for the first time with his supportive campmates on the ITV show.
Fans called the ’emotional’ moment the ‘most touching moment in I’m A Celeb history’ as all the campmates broke down in tears as they supported Barry.
Barry told the camp: ‘[Danika] had leukemia when I was boxing with Daniel Day Lewis.
‘Three weeks after the end I had to leave because she was diagnosed with leukemia.
‘They thought she wouldn’t get better, but she fought back and won. She had chemo for two years.’
As he started to cry, campmates gathered around him, with Danny Jones and Tulisa giving him a hug, while Barry burst out, “Thank you, you’re all so kind, I really appreciate it.”
