Barron Trump’s new NYU classmates reveal what they really think of him

Barron Trump’s new classmates at NYU shared their thoughts on the former president’s son.

The 18-year-old started at the Stern School of Business this week, his father Donald Trump confirmed.

In the meantime, his fellow students have given their opinions about the first-year student, with mixed reactions to his arrival.

One student suggested that Barron should adopt a progressive stance if he wanted to have a chance at romance with female students at the notoriously left-wing university.

“He’s going to New York University, so if he’s at all interested in girls, he’s going to be pretty liberal, I can tell you that,” one student told DailyMail.com.

Still, it seems he won’t have a problem with that. A classmate admitted: ‘My mother wants me to marry him’.

Several people said they were willing to judge Barron on his own merits, rather than on biases.

“I really feel sorry for him, he didn’t choose this life,” said one student, who added that she was “excited and intrigued” by the prospect of Secret Service personnel on campus.

“His dad is his dad and he’s his own person so I’m not going to judge him,” another agreed, adding that she would definitely consider a friendship.

“Of course, who wouldn’t want to be friends with a Trump?” she said.

Reactions to his arrival were mixed, ranging from disbelief to disgust. This student told DailyMail.com that she felt bad that Barron was inheriting the media attention and that her mother would try to get her to marry him

Another said he would like to start a relationship to produce a “diss track against Kamala,” referring to Vice President Harris.

Not everyone was positive, however. One student said she would “absolutely not” be friends with Barron.

“It goes without saying that a lot of NYU kids are privileged. I’m only here because of financial aid.”

Barron joined the freshman who had traveled to New York for the new school year.

His choice of university was kept secret until his father confirmed it to DailyMail.com, revealing that he had several universities to choose from.

“He was accepted into many universities,” the proud father said.

“He’s a very smart kid and he goes to Stern, the business school, a great school at NYU.”

Stern is one of America’s top business schools with a highly selective undergraduate program: only 1 in 20 applicants graduate.

Notable alumni include Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, and Kenneth Langone, founder and financier of Home Depot.

Barron is the youngest son of the former president and his wife Melania.

In May he graduated from the prestigious Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach.

Trump said his son considered following in his father’s footsteps and attending the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, but ultimately chose NYU.

“It’s a very high quality place. He liked it. He liked the school,” Trump told DailyMail.com.

“We liked NYU. I’ve known about NYU for a long time, but it’s one of the most highly regarded…

‘I went to Wharton, and that was definitely one we considered. We didn’t.

“We went with Stern. He’s a child with very high potential, but he’s not a child anymore. He’s just moved on to something beyond being a child. He’s doing great.”

Trump said his son planned to continue playing soccer in college. He is known as an avid athlete and has played for one of DC United’s youth teams.

NYU’s campus is not far from Trump Tower in Manhattan, where Barron spent much of his childhood before his father became president.
