Barron Trump disappoints NYU girls with devotion to first love
While many middle-aged boys focus on partying and meeting girls, Donald Trump’s 18-year-old son Barron has something else on his mind: video games.
Ever since the 6ft tall teen stood by his father’s side at his victory rally following his 2024 election win, fans have been ‘obsessed’ with him online – trying to find out every detail about his life.
But despite his newfound popularity, it has now been revealed that Barron, who recently started at New York University as a freshman, would rather stay in his room and play video games than hang out with his fellow students.
Several NYU attendees shared it TMZ that they said the teen “spends little time on campus,” always sits in the back of classrooms and “moves quickly” from the school buildings to his waiting SUV.
“He barely exists,” one student told the publication.
They added that he was always surrounded by members of the Secret Service, which made it difficult for Barron — who shares Donald with his wife Melania — to have a normal college experience.
But there’s one way he’s connected with his classmates: through his love of video games.

Discord is a social media app used to connect and chat with other video game players.
As for his favorite game, it is said that his favorite is the football game FIFA.
Ultimately, his classmates describe him as “chill” and “friendly.”
Donald has been open about the fact that his son was a “big fan” of gaming in the past.
In addition, children who went to high school with him previously told DailyMail.com that he was often enthusiastic about football and the video game Clash of Clans.
Donald and Melania welcomed Barron in 2006, and unlike the soon-to-be 47th president of the other children of the United States, he initially shunned the spotlight.
He grew up in a lavish penthouse apartment in New York City and attended an elite private school on the Upper West Side before moving to Washington, DC after his father was elected president.

Last month, a video of him talking as a child went viral on social media – and many online users were shocked by the fact that he used to have a Slovenian accent
When Donald left the White House, Barron moved with his parents to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.
He graduated from high school in 2024 and his famous father was in the crowd to cheer him on during the big moment.
Barron was noticeably absent from much of Donald’s campaign trails in 2016 and 2020, but was said to have begun to show some political nous by urging his father to appear on a number of popular podcasts during his most recent campaign.
And after Donald’s victory in 2024, the teenager took the stage with his parents at a victory rally.
Immediately following his performance at the event, public fascination with the teen increased online.
Last month, a video of him talking as a child went viral on social media – and many online users were shocked by the fact he used to have a Slovenian accent.
The clip was filmed for a 2010 special on Larry King Live that Donald and Melania did, and showed Barron, then four, getting ready to go to school for the first time.
“I like my suitcase,” he said, examining his new school bag and speaking in a thick Slovenian accent.
Then he asked his mother, “Do I have to go to school now?” who replied with: ‘Yes, first you will have lunch and then you will go to school.’
“You can read, write and do arithmetic,” his father chimed in.
The video has now been viewed millions of times and the sound byte in which he speaks has even been used in thousands of other TikToks.
