Aussie legend ‘Barking man’ sets the internet on fire AGAIN – years after becoming iconic figure

An Australian legend who barked like a rabid dog on national television has returned to the spotlight after recreating the iconic performance 14 years later.

Ray Graham became an international sensation in 2010 after a TV interview with A Current Affair about rabid dogs ‘terrorising’ those around him.

After telling the reporter that the dogs “came running towards his western Sydney home”, Mr Graham began thrashing around and barking furiously.

Footage of his enthusiastic impressions of the dogs have been viewed tens of millions of times online and earned him the nickname ‘barking dog man’.

While attention on Mr Graham has waned, footage of him mimicking the iconic quote at what appears to be a family event was posted on social media on Sunday.

Despite it being fourteen years since the original video, a number of people who saw the live impression still burst out laughing.

Social media users similarly applauded his dedication to the impersonation, saying ‘he’s still got it’, while others declared him an ‘absolute icon of Australia’.

Others noted that his wife played her role “perfectly” and looked as shocked in the video as she did during the original segment.

“The barking man is still my ringtone to this day,” said one.

“The barking dog man meme is still huge,” said a second.

“This has been in my head for 15 years,” said a third.

A fourth said they remembered seeing the segment when it first aired.

“My partner and I were talking and we stopped to listen and looked at each other in disbelief at what we just saw,” they wrote.

Others wondered how many times he’s “brought this out at a family party.”

“Please tell me he does this at every family gathering,” one user said.

“You just know he’s done this for them over fifty times,” said another.

In 2019, he told Daily Mail Australia that he is still regularly stopped for a selfie.

“I get noticed on the street, not so much now, but it still happens,” he said.

‘The other day I was shopping with Kerry and these two guys came up behind us and we thought they were going to rob us but all they wanted was just a photo!

‘They always want to take a photo and sometimes I bark at them a bit, they really love that.

“It was all positive, there are no downsides, but it definitely changed my life.”

It’s not the only time he has recreated the iconic moment, after quoting the line in a message of support for a Liberal candidate in Bennelong.
