According to Down Detector, the issues started around 12:07 GMT, and affected users across the UK.

More than 2,700 issues have been registered on the site.

Of those who reported problems, 67% said the problem was related to mobile banking, while 31% said they were having problems with online banking.

Meanwhile, two percent said the problem was their account balances.

Barclays tweeted to confirm the outage.

“If you’re having issues logging into our app or online banking right now — we’re sorry,” he wrote. We are working on fixing this issue and will update you here as soon as possible.

In the meantime, you can still use our automated phone service as usual.

There is no indication of when this issue might be resolved. this is unacceptable.’
