Barcelona manager Xavi showed fans that class is permanent when he dazzled on the sidelines with a brilliant bit of skill during his side’s four goals at Athletic Bilbao.

The Catalan side raced to a 3-0 lead at the Camp Nou after goals from Ousmane Dembele, Sergio Roberto and Robert Lewandowski put them in commanding position before half-time.

But the best of the evening was yet to come, as in the 31st minute the ball was shot into the air by Bilbao goalkeeper Unai Simon towards the technical part.

The ball came down and Barca boss Xavi controlled it with ease, and immediately the crowd was heard gasping in awe at the skill of the retired Spanish international midfielder.

Xavi retired from playing in 2019 after enjoying an illustrious career with Barcelona and Spain, winning everything there was to win in club football.

In addition to Andres Iniesta, he was also part of one of the most highly regarded midfield partnerships of all time.
