Barcelona determined to make mega move for Erling Haaland to mark opening of 105,000 capacity Nou Camp with Joan Laporta will ‘go with everything and until the end, with all his strength’ for the Man City star
According to reports in Spain, Barcelona are interested in signing Erling Haaland to mark the reopening of Camp Nou.
Haaland has had an excellent start to the season, scoring eleven goals in ten games in all competitions so far.
The Manchester City forward is in the third year of his contract, which expires in 2027, but is attracting interest from the Spanish giants.
This was reported by the Spanish media channel Sport that Barcelona president Joan Laporta wants to bring the 24-year-old to Catalonia despite the club’s financial problems.
The current LaLiga leaders will open the doors to the new Nou Camp at 60 percent capacity before the end of the year, and it is believed Laporta will want to mark the occasion with the signing of the Norwegian striker next summer.

The legendary stadium will be able to accommodate as many as 105,000 people when fully operational.
Laporta was interested in Haaland while at Borussia Dortmund and reportedly held talks with the late Mino Raiola – the striker’s former agent – over his signature in 2021.
However, Haaland opted to move to City and won the treble in his first season in Manchester, while also breaking the record for most goals in a single Premier League season.
Barcelona’s interest in the forward has seemingly remained steadfast despite his decision to snub them in 2022.
Laporta is believed to have a strong relationship with Haaland’s current agent Rafela Pimenta, which could be key to sealing a deal.

In September, reports in Spain indicated that Haaland was close to signing a new deal with Etihad.
But suggestions that this is the case have diminished in the weeks that followed as Barcelona’s interest grew.
