Barbra Streisand revealed she has a rose named after her while answering The Colbert Questionert on Monday's episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

The 81-year-old actress, in a pre-taped segment filmed as part of a lengthy interview that aired in November to promote her new memoir “My Name Is Barbra,” agreed to answer the show's standard 15 questions that meant were to 'penetrate to the soul'. '.

“Congratulations,” Stephen said.

“And I picked it because of the smell and the color of it,” Barbra continued.

'But what happened the other day? I have a rose called Lasting Love, I will show it to you, outside my house. Has a great scent. And one day I saw a pink rose appear on the same stem. It's a red rose, okay? A pink rose appeared. I named it Barbra's Baby,” said Barbra, who was interviewed at her home in Malibu, California.

Barbra said the new rose was studied and her breeder cut a piece of the stem and let it grow for more than two years to make sure it would hold up.

'And it's there. Barbra's Baby is coming into the world, folks,” Barbra said.

Stephen had to cancel three shows in November after undergoing surgery for a burst appendix.

He had three busy shows planned, including guests Jennifer Garner, Baz Luhrmann, Patrick Stewart and Kelsey Grammer, the return of former bandleader Jon Batiste and Barbra would bring The Colbert Questionert.

Stephen contracted COVID-19 last October and had to cancel a week's worth of shows, although he hosted one from his home as he has been doing during the pandemic.
