Barbie brawl! Shocking moment grandmother slams woman in pink after complaining about child watching YouTube videos during blockbuster Margot Robbie screening

  • Moviegoers had to be stopped arguing during the credits

Shocking video shows the moment a brawl breaks out between two women after one complained that the other’s grandchild was watching YouTube videos at the cinema, interrupting a screening of the new Barbie movie.

The footage begins with a large crowd of moviegoers arguing from their seats in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as the credits roll, with Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” heard playing in the background.

Suddenly, a woman in pink pants charges up the stairs to another, who puts on a fuchsia-colored jacket, before violently pushing her to the ground as a man tries to intervene.

The woman who was knocked down quickly gets back up and tries to get revenge on her attacker, reportedly a grandmother who was angry at comments about her grandchild.

You can see the two women insulting each other, while the man makes sure to stay between them and tries to keep them apart as the footage ends.

The incident took place on Monday, July 24, at the Bourbon mall in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The victim, known as Melissa Caroline in Brazilian media, reportedly took to social media to explain her side of the story.

She said she was attacked by a woman after she complained that she was unhappy that a young girl had made a noise during the film.

Melissa said, “The movie is playing and the kid opens YouTube next to me, just in time for Billie’s song.

“I complained about it to her mother, and the others around started calling me a slacker, a slut, and making disparaging remarks.”

She reportedly called the police about the matter, adding, “I just said the movie’s age limit was 12 and she shouldn’t be there.”

And I said out loud, “Ask your mom what a sugar daddy is, because it’s in the movie.”

She also said, “I just said it all the time, you can even hear it in the video of me saying it.” I wasn’t insulting anyone, I just wanted to watch my film in peace.’

Melissa said, “That’s what happened. I didn’t argue with anyone, I didn’t raise my voice with anyone.

‘They just brought a misbehaving child to the cinema, but you can imagine why from the grandmother’s attitude. I was never rude to the child. I just said she wasn’t in her house.’

The cinema has reportedly not yet commented on the matter. It is not yet clear whether the police are involved.

It made more than £120 million ($155 million) in its opening weekend, according to distributor Warner Bros.
