A boy under the age of 10 tragically drowned in a bathtub just days after another young man died in a public swimming pool.

Ambulance crews were called to Banksia Park, 20km north of Adelaide, at around 5:50pm on Monday, in response to reports that a child had drowned.

An SA Police spokesman said the death was deemed “non-suspicious”.

A report will now be prepared for the coroner.

Death comes as just days before, a nine-year-old boy drowned in the Waikerie Pool.

The boy slipped silently underwater in the pool in South Australia’s Riverland region at 3:30pm on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to the scene and paramedics attempted to revive the boy before he was rushed to Waikerie Hospital, where he died.
