Bankstown Aerodrome: Horrific crash between car and ute leaves man and child fighting for life
An adult and a child are fighting for their lives after a three-car crash near a Sydney airport.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Milperra Rd and Murray Jones Drive near Bankstown Aerodrome in Sydney’s west about 7.45pm on Sunday evening.
NSW Ambulance confirmed a man in his 50s and a primary school-age child were taken to Westmead Hospital in critical conditions.
Another man was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a non-critical condition.
Tradies were seen shortly after the incident inspecting the traffic lights at the intersection, while police and firefighters remained at the scene.

A black sedan involved in the crash had devastating damage to the left rear passenger door
A white ute was seen nearby with damage to the bonnet and bumper
Photos from the scene show the sedan’s left rear passenger door completely smashed in and damage to the hood and bumper.
A man was seen being placed in the back of an ambulance surrounded by paramedics with a brace around his neck.
Police also attended the scene of the horrific crash and inspected the wrecked sedan that had been pushed over the curb and onto a nature strip.
Both cars came to a stop just outside a business complex that included a go-kart track and a badminton center.
Police blocked traffic from entering Murray Jones Drive and diverted eastbound traffic along Milperra Road.
