Banks should be able to finance developers for land purchase: Parekh | BS Events – Business standard

The affordable housing segment has missed the housing boom the country has witnessed in recent years, says Deepak Parekh, Chairman of HDFC Life Insurance and HDFC Asset Management Company. In a Fireside chat with Business standard‘s consulting editor, Tamal BandyopadhyayParekh says there is a need to give impetus to builders to launch affordable housing projects along with allowing bank credit for land acquisition, albeit under certain conditions.
