  • One of them gave a cheap shot to the head while he was on the ground, and everyone was suspended

An angry airport passenger got more than he bargained for when he took on a Spirit Airlines employee and was beaten by four of them.

Wild footage from Baltimore airport on Tuesday around 4:15 p.m. shows the traveler getting angry with one of the check-in employees and wanting to get into a fight.

“Let’s go… you’re going to jail today,” he said.

The male employee accepted his challenge, but was immediately supported by three of his colleagues who almost immediately attacked the man.

Just as the warring factions closed in, a Spirit staffer in an unbuttoned white shirt sprints into view and throws a haymaker at the passenger.

From there the fight is four on one, as one of the Spirit staff members locks him in place while the others lie against him, before tackling him to the ground.

But just as he gives up, one of the employees takes a cheap shot at his head.

“Whoa, you guys are about to get sued,” the man who shot the video commented.

It is still unclear what caused the fight.

Maryland Transportation Authority police said one of the fighters suffered minor injuries during the brawl.

“All parties involved were provided with information on victims’ rights and information on services, including information on filing criminal charges with the local commissioner,” the report said.

Spirit said the fighting staff were not airline employees but contractors employed by an outsourcing company.

“Our supplier has suspended four of their affected employees pending an investigation into the matter,” the company said.

“We will not tolerate violence of any kind and will take appropriate action if necessary following the completion of the seller’s investigation.”
