Ballerina Farm ‘trad wife’ influencer Hannah Neeleman reveals the ‘number one question’ she gets asked about her family

Of the many questions people ask Hannah Neeleman of Ballerina Farm, there’s one the mother of eight gets asked most often: does she want more children?

The 34-year-old beauty queen and her husband, 35-year-old JetBlue heir Daniel Neeleman, previously went to Hannah’s TikTok to answer the burning question: ‘How many children do you plan to have?’

Although they haven’t confirmed whether they will have more children, they certainly aren’t ruling out another baby.

“This is by far the most asked question,” Hannah noted.

“We don’t really have a number,” Daniel chimed in. “We’re just going for it.”

Hannah and Daniel, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, are raising their eight children – Henry, 12, Charles, 10, George, nine, Frances, seven, Lois, five, Martha, three, Mabel, three, and Flora, six months old – on their 328-acre Utah farm.

Their ultra-traditional lifestyle came under scrutiny after a recent article by The Times of London which provided a glimpse into their reality.

In the piece, the couple discussed whether they wanted to expand their family.

“For me, it’s really a matter of prayer,” Hannah said in the July 27 article. “I’m like, ‘God, is it time to bring another one to Earth?’ And I’ve never been told no.”

Daniel added: ‘But for whatever reason it’s exactly nine months [after a baby] that she is ready for the next one.’

Hannah added that raising their brood is “definitely a matter of prayer,” while Daniel said, “It’s a matter of prayer, but somehow it takes exactly nine months.”

However, Hannah is happy with her life as it is now, she told The Times.

“I feel like we’re doing what God wants,” she said, while Daniel agreed, “We’re kind of doing his message.”

Shortly after their wedding, Hannah and Daniel welcomed their first child together, a baby boy they named Henry, followed by two more sons in a short time, Charles and George

Many TikTok comments referenced the article, claiming that her husband frequently spoke to her during the interview and that she was so exhausted from her hectic lifestyle that she was bedridden for days.

‘She’s not a fucking machine. This is insane. She’s exhausted. She can’t take a vacation, she cooks all day without help… [poor] “Woman,” one user commented on the video.

“He replied! Like she doesn’t have an opinion!” raged another.

“Large families are something completely different. People who haven’t experienced it can’t even understand it. I think it’s great,” another user argued.

Hannah and Daniel regularly share glimpses of their idyllic life on social media, under the name Ballerina Farm, the name of their joint business.

Hannah and her husband started their business Ballerina Farm in 2019, which now sells a range of products made from their livestock, such as ground beef and pork, as well as fresh desserts and vegetables

She has amassed millions of followers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube with her “trad wife” content, short for “traditional wife,” which describes a woman who trades in her modern femininity for domestic duties like cooking, cleaning and having children.

Hannah’s farm, social media presence and brood continued to grow and she welcomed three more daughters – Lois, Martha and Mabel – in the years that followed.

Just two weeks after giving birth, she flew to Las Vegas to compete in the Mrs. World beauty pageant, with her newborn baby in tow.

Hannah, an aspiring ballerina, moved to New York City at age 17 to study at Juilliard, where she met her current husband shortly afterward.

They married just a few months after they started dating and had children before she even graduated from Julliard.

After graduating, the aspiring dancer put her career on the back burner to focus on starting a family.

She moved to Brazil after Daniel was offered a job at one of his father’s new companies based in South America, where the self-proclaimed ‘city person’ discovered her passion for agriculture.

In 2017, Hannah moved with her husband and their children back to the US and to a ranch in Utah. There, Hannah began documenting the highs – and lows – of running the ranch and caring for their many children on Instagram.

Hannah recently returned to pageantry, entering the coveted Mrs. World competition just two weeks after giving birth to her eighth child in January.
