Woman allegedly stabs man to death at home near Ballarat, Victoria

A man has died after he was allegedly stabbed to death by a woman he knew at a home in regional Victoria.

The woman allegedly stabbed the man at a property on Park Lane in Mount Helen, a southern suburb of Ballarat, about 8am on Saturday.

“Emergency services attended and performed CPR, but the man died at the scene,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

‘Officers arrested the woman in the building, who was known to the deceased.

“She is expected to be questioned by detectives today.”

The woman has been arrested, but police have not yet filed charges.

Police officers and detectives were seen at the property on Saturday.
