Baldur’s Gate 3 hotfix 8 makes His Majesty bald again
Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 8 is now live and aims to address a range of crashing issues, but most importantly, it makes His Majesty hairless again.
Larian Studios released the following hotfix for its RPG and while the minor update mainly fixes technical issues, the developer has listened to player feedback to get one character looking like his original self again.
During your travels you may have encountered His Majesty: a Sphynx cat with a sassy attitude that players quickly fell in love with. But it turns out he was never meant to be a Sphynx cat after patch 3 – the same patch that finally allowed us to change our character’s appearance – made the cat have a full coat of hair.
Players were outraged by the change and asked Larian to make him bald again. They did and in Hotfix 8 you will notice that His Majesty is back to his usual hairless appearance. Thank you, Larian.

Raphael’s original brown hair color has also been restored after turning black in the same patch that made His Majesty hairy, another fix implemented in response to player feedback. The devil’s portrait in the House of Hope has also been restored to its original appearance.
In addition to some crashing issues that have now been fixed, another specific issue that has been frustrating players concerns companions loading their equipment onto them whenever they are dismissed from their party.
This bug was fixed by Larian saying, “When they get fired, they no longer give you all the stuff they care about carrying, like a toddler in a grocery store.” You can read the full patch notes below.
