A balding man was left in disbelief after an astonishing transformation left him with a full head of hair that admirers say made him look ‘so much younger’.
The 26-year-old dropped by for a visit to a salon in North East England, but little did he know he would be bringing back a new man with a slew of new fans.
Hairdresser Rob Wood, owner of Novo Cabelo salons, worked his magic on young man Jake, who said he first noticed his hair thinning at age 18.
Before the makeover, Jake said he thought it was “really awkward” that he had to “constantly think about it.”
‘You always think: do I look good and am I doing well?’ he said.

The nimble hairdresser told Jake he could have any style his heart desired, but added that he thought it would be nice to have a “gentleman scissor cut.”
Jake initially seemed somewhat unsure of what the outcome might be, but was visibly shocked when he removed a pair of sunglasses-style glasses to view the change.
Rob chopped and shaved his way through Jake’s hair and had carefully selected real human hair to match Jake’s color, texture and style.
The specialist hairdresser, also known as Mr Cabelo, is known for his use of hair systems – a hair replacement system, also known as a hairpiece, toupee or wig, that is attached to the scalp with glue, clips or weaving.
According to Rob, the hair system can last four to six months, but will need to be readjusted every three to four weeks.
Jake laughingly exclaimed, “that’s crazy” and “that’s amazing,” after the big reveal, as he ran his fingers through the thick, dark, brown hair left slicked back on his head.
TikTok users rushed in to share their thoughts and praise after the video was uploaded to the popular social media platform.
Many people commented that Jake looked “so much younger” after the transformation.

Speaking about his story, Rob told MailOnline: ‘It all started 10 years ago. Where one of the girls who worked for me, her brother-in-law, was really struggling with his mental health in relation to his hair loss.
“So I did a little bit of YouTube and research to see what was really out there, and what we could do, and that’s when I discovered the hair systems.”
After trying out the hair system on his colleague’s brother-in-law. Rob decided to open Novo Cabelo and specialize in treating hair loss for everyone.
