Balding man unrecognisable after ‘amazing’ transformation as new admirers say he’s giving ‘Chris Pine vibes’
A balding man appears unrecognisable after an ‘astonishing’ transformation that has seen him compared to Star Trek actor Chris Pine.
Lee, 41, is suffering from hair loss after having to take morphine tablets. He has suffered spinal cord injuries due to a herniated disc in his lower back.
In an effort to revitalize his hairline, Lee visited Novo Cabelo salon in Durham to have a hair system applied.
Hair systems are a non-surgical hair replacement product that can be used to cover hair loss. They can be made from real human hair or synthetic hair woven onto a base material such as lace or polyurethane.
Since it was Lee’s first time having a hair system done, Novo Cabelo founder and creator Rob Wood said he didn’t want to give his client something too complex to care for after the service.

After removing a pair of sunglasses to reveal the transformation, Lee couldn’t believe his eyes. His previously thin hairline now had a chic short cut at the top, revealing a full head of hair.

Lee was so amazed at the difference that he described Rob’s work as “ridiculous” for being able to make his hair look so stylish.
He looked so unrecognizable compared to before that Lee even joked, “Who is this guy?” after inspecting his new haircut.
He added: ‘That’s crazy. It’s such a difference, isn’t it?’
A message at the end of the salon’s video said Lee should have his hair system reapplied every three weeks, and the treatment would last four to six months.
Users commented on the dramatic transformation and were impressed with the difference, posting: ‘Chris Pine vibes’.

This happened after another customer was left stunned after getting a new haircut at the same salon.

Gethin was on the verge of tears when his new haircut was revealed, saying: ‘I never thought I would see the day again’
Before Rob worked his magic, 40-year-old Gethin’s hair was thinning on top of her head and he had to comb it into a comb-over style.
He admitted that his hair had been thinning for years, but that he had tried to hide his hair loss since his 40th birthday in February last year.
He said: [My hair] started to thin out. Of course you can see it in the back, you can see it on the forehead, of course losing a lot of hair too.
“You get used to the same old song, I guess that’s the only way I can explain it.”
Gethin was speechless with tears of joy when his new appearance was revealed in the mirror.
The beaming 40-year-old said: ‘Oh my god. I never thought I’d see the day again. God, it’s really amazing, I love it – I really love it.’
