She noted that Whoopi had requested the Charlotte Russe dessert, a sponge cake with whipped cream and a cherry, for a Nov. 6-13 talk show.
However, due to ongoing problems with the equipment, Jill revealed that she did not want to make any promises.
“They asked us and we were having problems with our boilers,” she said.
Jill noted that she “didn’t want to make a commitment that I can’t keep.”
The cake expert confirmed she was eventually able to make around 50 treats, which an unidentified woman collected at 7.30am on Wednesday.
Jill explained that she did not want to pre-book the order because the building she works in is old and there are often technical problems.
She told the outlet, “I told Whoopi, ‘I can’t do it right now. We have so many things going on with my boiler,’ because the building is from 1930, so when she called me I had no idea [if we could] I’m baking everything.’
The Treat Pro insisted that her initial refusal had nothing to do with Whoopi’s political beliefs.

On today’s episode of the show, Whoopi celebrated her birthday with her co-hosts.
As she brought out the cakes she said, “My birthday dessert today was one of my mom’s favorites when she was little, she talked about them all the time, they’re called Charlotte Russe.
‘It’s a sponge cake with whipped cream and a cherry on top. I have to tell you that Charlotte Russe has no political affiliations. The place that made these refused to make them for me.
‘They said their ovens were broken, but people went to get them anyway, so I won’t say who made them. It’s not… because I’m a woman, but maybe they didn’t like my politics.
“But that’s okay, because you know what, listen, this is my mom’s party. Pick this up and celebrate with me and my mom. Thank you everyone for celebrating my birthday today.”
Whoopi has never been shy when it comes to publicly sharing her political beliefs and she still refuses to say Donald Trump’s name despite his election victory, which her co-hosts have blamed on “uneducated white women.”
