Just a month after Baker Mayfield signed a massive contract extension with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the NFL star’s wife Emily has given birth to their daughter.

The quarterback, 29, and Emily announced the arrival of daughter Kova Jade Mayfield on Saturday.

Emily took to Instagram to share photos of Kova nestled in Baker’s arms as their adorable dog, Fergus, looked on.

She wrote: ‘The girl came to us on Tuesday evening just before 7.30pm.

“She is truly everything we prayed for and more. We enjoy life as a family of four. Fergus is so gentle and curious. Daddy is so in love, and Mommy wants to freeze time forever and make these days last forever.”

“My heart is going to explode at any moment, I swear, Bake was born to be a dad,” she added.

What’s more is that the duo’s dog wore a bandana that adorably read ‘Big Brother Fergus’.

Baker and Emily married in July 2019 in a private ceremony in Malibu. Before that, they had been engaged for six months since their first date.

Emily previously admitted to ESPN that she was hesitant to date Baker because she assumed he was the “quintessential playboy athlete.”

The Bucs also added $5 million per year in incentives, boosting his contract to a maximum value of $115 million.

Mayfield led the Bucs’ to the NFC divisional round this past season after exceeding expectations with a 9-8 record before the playoffs, winning the NFC South.

He passed for 4,044 yards with 28 touchdowns and 10 interceptions early in the postseason and had a pair of 300-yard games in the playoffs, posting 337 yards and three touchdowns against Philadelphia, and going 349-3 with two interceptions at Detroit in a 31-23 loss during the divisional playoff round.
