Bake Off: The Professionals host Stacey Solomon has been REPLACED on the show after just ONE series…with a Ted Lasso star taking on the role
Stacey Solomon has been replaced as host of Bake Off: The Professionals after just one series, it was announced on Friday.
The official Great British Bake Off Twitter account shared the news that Ted Lasso star Ellie Taylor, who appeared on Strictly last year, would host alongside Liam Charles and judges Benoit Blin MCA and Cherish Finden.
Ellie plays Sassy in the award-winning Apple TV hit and in addition to her dancing shoes, she’s a regular on the comedy panel show circuit with regular appearances on 8 Out of 10 Cats, QI and Mock the Week.
The tweet read: “From Ted Lasso to tiramisu – we’re thrilled to welcome @EllieJaneTaylor as our new co-host on Bake Off: The Professionals alongside @LiamcBakes…
Confectioners take note – judges @BenoitBlin_MCA & @Cherish_Finden are back for pud too! The new series will be on @Channel4 this summer.

Stacey, 33, took over from longtime presenter Tom Allen last year when the comedian stepped down as the show’s host after three years.
Tom said of his departure at the time: ‘I’ve had the best time hosting The Professionals in Sussex with my wonderful friend Liam, but now it’s time to move on.
“Stacey Solomon, you are going to be absolutely amazing. I can’t think of anyone better to do it! It was my first job as a TV presenter in 2018…
