BAE receives new funding from the Ministry of Defense to develop new fighter jets

BAE Systems has secured funding from the Ministry of Defense to develop new fighter jets.

The £656 million will fund the Tempest, a stealth aircraft with supersonic capabilities that the British defense giant said will be one of the world’s “most advanced” jets.

BAE will work with partners including Rolls-Royce and the UK arm of French rocket maker MBDA and Italian aerospace company Leonardo to create the jet, which will enter service by 2035.
