Bad Bunny makes a rare reference to girlfriend Kendall Jenner during Saturday Night Live promo

Bad Bunny made a very rare reference to girlfriend Kendall Jenner during a Saturday Night Live promo ahead of hosting the show last week.

The very private rapper, 29, appeared in the video alongside comedienne Heidi Gardner, 40, to announce his performance and took the opportunity to give a cheeky nod to his supermodel lover, 27.

He said to the camera, “Hi, I’m Bad Bunny and I’m the host and musical guest on SNL this week.”

While Heidi said: ‘So bad Bunny, I was meaning to ask you’, before throwing her arms around in horror and asking: ‘Oh my god, what is that?’.

‘Be careful, Heidi! The mosquitoes!’ the hitmaker stated that he clapped his hands in an attempt to kill the pesky insects.

The musician was referring to partner Kendall, who he was first spotted with in February, in a viral video shared online earlier this year.

While out for a walk, the Kardashians star spotted a chipmunk, only for her friend to warn her to stay away.

‘Rabies?’ she asked, but Bad Bunny said he was more concerned about ‘mosquitos’.

The singer got a little help from friend Pedro Pascal during his opening monologue on Saturday evening.

Bad Bunny is no stranger to the world of SNL, having made a cameo on the series in 2020 and was a musical guest in 2021.

To kick off his opening monologue, the rapper took the stage and was warmly received by the audience.

He showed off his sense of style by wearing loose-fitting black trousers and a cropped double-breasted black blazer. Underneath he added a plain white shirt to complete the look.

The artist – whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio – introduced himself to the audience and expressed his excitement to be featured, which he started to say in Spanish but caught himself.

‘Oh sorry. SNL, SNL,” he corrected, adding humorously, “People are wondering if I can host this show because English is not my native language. I don’t know if they know, but I do what I want.’

He then listed a few things he could do in English. ‘I can order McDonald’s in English. I can have sex in English. But I prefer sex in Spanish because it’s just better.’

Bad Bunny then began addressing the audience in his native language and even gave a special shoutout to Latinos and those watching the series in Puerto Rico.

As he talked, the caption “Speaking in Non-English” appeared on the screen and he decided to call a close friend to help translate what he was saying.

Suddenly, The Last Of Us star Pedro Pascal appeared on stage next to the rapper and surprised the audience with a cameo.

Benito then started speaking Spanish again, which Pascal simply translated as, “He says I’m blessed to be here with my favorite actor, Pedro Pascal.”

Bad Bunny then asked if the actor – who presented earlier this year – could give him any advice when it came to his opening monologue.

“When you do a monologue, I always find it charming to make a self-deprecating joke,” the star said, prompting the singer to respond with, “What do you mean?”

“It’s like a joke you make about a part of your body or your face, but it’s not flattering,” Pedro explained. However, the rapper said, “I don’t have one.”

Pascal added: ‘Totally. Me neither. You know what else works? The public likes it when you show an embarrassing photo of yourself.’ The performer then released a steamy thirst trap of herself posing naked, which appeared on screen.

Retaliation: The skit was a follow-up to a previous one in February in which Pedro played an overprotective mother to son Luis, played by Marcello Hernandez. This time, Luis was joined by a new friend, Casey, played by Chloe Troast

The actor asked confused, “I’m sorry. How is that embarrassing?’ with Bad Bunny saying, “Because I forgot to put clothes on.”

‘Okay. There’s clearly nothing about you to joke about. Why don’t you just tell everyone what you wanted to say?’ Pedro jokingly expressed.

Concluding the monologue, the rapper expressed his gratitude to be on the SNL stage, thanking “everyone who supports me, and everyone who listens to my music.”
