Backstage at Pip Edwards’ first P.E Nation show since split with business partner as the designer proves she can go it alone at Australian Fashion Week
It was business as usual for Pip Edwards as she made a triumphant return to Australian Fashion Week on Tuesday.
The designer was firing on all cylinders as she presented her first PE Nation collection since her spectacular split from business partner Claire Greaves.
There were no signs of tension backstage as the models lined up for their moment on the catwalk.
Military precision ensured the range of athletic ensembles were perfectly styled for their catwalk debut.
Models lined up before the show and worked from their angles for some candid images that proved Pip can go it alone and come out on top.

Pip herself showed off her sensational sense of style as she took to the catwalk on Tuesday.
The PE Nation co-founder, 44, hit the catwalk to greet the crowds at Sydney’s Carriageworks venue after her brand’s highly anticipated show.
It was Pip’s first AFW show with PE Nation since the shock departure of her long-time business partner and co-founder Claire Greaves following their falling out.
The catwalk show saw models strutting down the catwalk to show off the athleisure brand’s latest collection, while Pip pulled out all the stops for the event.

Pip put on a leggy show in a completely sheer black skirt, worn over black underwear, as she celebrated her brand’s latest collection.
She paired her daring ensemble with a black zip-up jacket and a pair of chunky black and white sneakers, proving to be her own best advertisement.
Pip completed her fashionable look with a dramatic bronzed make-up palette and appeared in good spirits as she waved to the crowd.
The fashion entrepreneur took to the catwalk with her models wearing stylish ensembles from PE Nation, including pastel blue and pink tracksuits.
Pip previously teased how PE Nation would be undergoing some big changes at AFW, moving away from the bright colors and clashing prints that were once synonymous with the brand.

‘We actually had to do a complete cleanse of the color palette so that the rebranding and relaunch that you will see is a complete cleanse, which will be quite a shock [compared with] the PE Nation you know,” she told The Australian.
‘Our fabrics are very luxurious, our silhouettes are luxurious, but it is anchored in active.’
The AFW show came just two months after PE Nation confirmed that co-founder Claire Greaves (formerly Tregoning) was stepping back from the company.
Pip has taken over as sole creative director following Claire’s shock departure and is giving the brand a massive overhaul and relaunch.
The move marked the end of one of the most enduring relationships in Australian fashion, and will see Claire ‘pursue other creative endeavors’ and take her career in a new direction.

Last week she deleted every post on the PE Nation page. “This new start has been initiated by wiping the slate clean to usher in a new era,” Pip wrote
Pip has since shockingly erased all traces of Claire – who she worked with for ten years – from PE Nation’s social media.
Last week, she shared an update on her personal Instagram page, noting that she had just deleted every post on the PE Nation page.
The act deletes years of posts promoting the sportswear brand and all traces of her former business partner from the page.
Numerous photos of Pip and Claire attending events together and promoting their brand have now disappeared, as Pip begins a new chapter in her professional life.

She aptly captioned her post, “The past has been celebrated and now we pave the way for new beginnings.
“This new beginning is initiated by wiping the slate clean to usher in a new era @penation #penation.”
The brand told it Daily telegram on Claire’s departure: ‘After 10 years leading PE Nation with friend and co-founder Pip Edwards, Claire Greaves has made the decision to step down from the day-to-day management of the company.
“Claire will remain on the board and maintain her shareholding as the company continues to thrive in the highly creative, visionary hands of Pip Edwards at the helm, together with the board of directors.
‘The company has secured and developed an extremely strong product and design team.
“Pip and the company fully support Claire’s transition to pursue other creative endeavors and wish her all the best in her next chapter.”
