Bachelor star Sam Wood shares heartbreak over family tragedy: ‘So many tears and we will miss you every day’

Sam Wood has shared his grief over the loss of his beloved dog.

The former Bachelor star shared a touching post to Instagram on Monday revealing the loss of his faithful dog Hendrix.

“Oh Hendo. “For more than a third of my life I woke up from our walks and this morning you weren’t there,” he began.

“You were my family before I had any. You were our family when we became one. The patience and love you showed our girls and the friendship you gave me were unwavering and unsurpassed,” he continued.

“So many tears and we will miss you every day, beautiful brown Hendrix.”

Sam was inundated with supportive comments from fans, including one who wrote: ‘Sorry for your loss. We will all miss seeing Hendo being taken for a walk. He will be missed. You’ll always have the memories.’

Another said: ‘Oh, I’m sorry. They leave such a void, it’s so hard to say goodbye. Sending so much love.”

Another chimed in: “Heartbreaking for all of you. Hendo was a beautiful dog.’

The fitness mogul is married to Snezana Wood (née Markoski), whom he met on the third season of The Bachelor in 2015.

He shares Willow, six, Charlie, four, and Harper, two, with Snezana and her daughter Eve, 19, from a previous relationship, revealed his parenting goals in an interview with

Real estate insiders say the handsome reality star and his wife have already shelled out $14 million for the sprawling estate.

Located on the seafront of Brighton, 9 miles from the CBD, this beautiful vintage multi-storey estate features six bedrooms, a swimming pool and extensive gardens.

However, the Herald Sun reported that the genetically blessed couple has yet to seal the deal for the trophy home.

Meanwhile, the publication reports that Sam and Snezana have been looking to buy in the exclusive neighborhood for at least two years.

And the pair have been linked with the purchase of another property on Brighton’s ‘Golden Mile’.

Listed with an eye-popping list price of $16,500,000 million to $18,000,000 million, the massive luxury home is a beautifully preserved Art Deco estate.

Features include lush grounds, a swimming pool, tennis court and a wet bar with Old School panels.

Other highlights include marble fireplaces, vintage chandelier and decorative tiles.

According to the report, the listing “disappeared” from RE sites this week, but was still listed for sale on Realestate.com as of Saturday.

It last went under the hammer in 1980 for $315,000 and was rented to tenants in 2023 for as much as $2,400 a week.

Now a business magnate, the rugged 43-year-old, has built a multi-million dollar empire.

In 2022, he sold his fitness program – 28 by Sam Wood – to genetics group myDNA for $71 million.

The entrepreneur continues to invest in the company and has a five percent interest.

He has also built a $10 million real estate portfolio.

His property portfolio includes his $4 million home in Elsternwick, which he shares with his wife Snezana and four children, and a $3.6 million holiday home in Mt Martha.

Wood entered the real estate market in 2014, when he bought a 1,728-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment on Koornang Road in Carnegie for $477,500.

In 2017, Wood bought a three-bedroom investment property in Broadford for $295,000 and has since seen it increase in value to almost $500,000.

In 2018, around the same time Wood acquired the Elsternwick property, he also put $531,000 into another investment property in Upwey.
