Bachelor Nation’s Kaitlyn Bristowe held a ‘funeral service’ and ‘fake burial’ for Jason Tartick split
Kaitlyn Bristowe has revealed she held a ‘funeral service’ and ‘fake funeral’ following her 2023 split from ex-fiancé Jason Tartick.
The 39-year-old media personality made the bizarre revelation during a conversation with Amanda Hirsch during the latest episode of her From the vine podcasting.
‘[I had a] “little funeral service — like a fake funeral,” she spilled, adding, “I did it by myself. I didn’t bury anything. It was all mental.”
She explained, “It’s more of a visual exercise and it’s about saying goodbye and making peace with it a little bit. It changes something in the old brain. It really does something in your brain.”
It comes a year after the former couple announced their split on social media.

‘[I had a] small funeral service — like a fake funeral,” she shared on the latest episode of her Off The Vine podcast, adding, “I did it by myself. I didn’t [actually] bury everything. It was all mental’
Bristowe and Tartick, 35, got engaged in May 2021 after dating for two years.
The former Bachelorette star admitted that the mock funeral didn’t completely help her get over the relationship, but she said it did help.
After meeting them during an interview on her podcast, Bristowe began dating Tartick in January 2019.
Last summer, the two stars shared a photo of themselves together on Instagram to announce the end of their relationship.
They wrote: ‘After sharing the news with family and close friends and taking time to process it ourselves, it is with heavy hearts that we must announce that we have decided to end our engagement.’
The couple continued: ‘We are grateful to all of you who have given us the time and space to process this life-changing decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.’
They turned to their pets and added, “Our dogs Ramen & Pinot will continue to be cared for together as brothers. Although their owners are no longer romantically involved, we will love and care for them together.”
They stressed: ‘Continuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us. We are grateful that we can end our engagement with love and respect for one another.’
