Bachelor alumna Vanessa Grimaldi shared that she recently suffered a miscarriage, two years after having her first child, a boy, with husband Joshua Wolfe.
On Monday, the 36-year-old reality star, who got engaged to Nick Viall on season 21 of The Bachelor, shared the devastating news with her more than 664,000 followers on Instagram.
After being asked numerous “uncomfortable” questions about whether she and Wolfe had plans to expand their family anytime soon, the mother of one opened up about the loss that happened “a few months ago.”
“I wasn’t sure how to share this. But I knew I wanted to. I knew I wanted to help other women feel less alone in their miscarriage journey,” she began. “I know all too well the shock, the pain, the confusion, the sense of hopelessness, and the awkward “when are you going to have another” conversation.”
She continues: ‘A few months ago I had two big surprises: I found out I was pregnant and I found out I had had a miscarriage.’

The teacher then wrote about what had helped her in her healing.
“It’s been a long few months of giving my body space to relax,” the former TV personality said.[I had] “Echoes, blood tests, doctor appointments, conversations with family members, friends, and sometimes strangers,” she wrote.
She continues: ‘It was a difficult yet connecting process that made me feel less alone and ultimately allowed me to heal.’
Grimaldi told other women who have suffered a miscarriage that they are “not alone” and that “it happens more often than you think.”
“I promise you that with time, you will find hope again,” she assured others in a post that was liked by several members of Bachelor Nation, including Amanda Stanton and Clare Crawley.
Grimaldi previously found love with Viall, 43, on season 21 of The Bachelor, which aired in 2017.
However, the former couple called off their engagement just five months after the finale aired on ABC.
At the time, they released a statement explaining that they had “given everything to this relationship” and that they were “sad” that they did not get “the fairytale ending” they “had hoped for.”

“We will continue to be there for each other, no matter what,” they said.
Three years later, she found love with Wolfe, who proposed to her in August 2020.
A year after accepting his proposal, they married in an intimate ceremony at the Le Mount Stephen Hotel in Canada.
They got engaged in 2020. Grimaldi shared the happy news on her Instagram in a series of photos from the engagement night, telling People magazine it was “an intimate, beautiful moment in candlelight.”

“It was absolutely beautiful!” Vanessa enthused when Josh proposed to her atop the Saint-Louis Gate in Quebec City, Canada.
“I knew we would eventually get engaged, but I had no idea it would actually happen,” she continued.
“Josh is the first person I feel completely comfortable with and never doubted his love for me. I’m ready to say YES! I’m the luckiest woman!”
The couple have a son together, named Winston, who was born in September 2022.

He was born one day before her 35th birthday.
When she announced the news, she said that nothing would ever “top” her 35th birthday.
“Our little miracle decided to be born one day before mommy’s birthday, so we celebrated his BIRTHDAY and my 35th in the hospital, as a new family!” she raved at the time.
She continued, “Mommy and Daddy love you SO SO MUCH!!! Thank you for choosing us and giving us the BEST gift ever: being YOUR parents!”

Meanwhile, Viall married his girlfriend Natalie Joy in April at her family’s farm in Georgia.
They were joined by their closest loved ones and daughter River Rose, whom they welcomed in February 2024.
