Bachelor alum Lauren Bushnell Lane says she is having a ‘Kylie Jenner moment’ as she reveals name change for her youngest child
Bachelor alum Lauren Bushnell Lane is following in the footsteps of another reality star – Kylie Jenner.
The influencer, 33, has announced that she has legally changed the name of the newest member of her family, her almost one-year-old son, Baker Weston Lane.
Lauren revealed that she changed her child’s middle name from Weston to West in what she called a “Kylie Jenner moment.”
Kylie, 26, also famously changed the name of her second child, son Air, after originally naming her Wolf.
Announcing her child’s new name on Instagram, she explained how she and her husband impulsively decided on their child’s middle name at the hospital.

“I just submitted the Baker name change form to the Vital Records Office, but I’m just having a Kylie Jenner moment, you know, I’m changing my son’s name,” she explained to followers on her Instagram Stories on Friday, according to Us Weekly.
She clarified that they only changed the child’s middle name, while his name remained the same.
“(It) was Weston, we actually panicked at the hospital because we just couldn’t decide and it was between Weston and Weston, and we ended up going with Weston,” she said.
Lauren explained how the new name suits her child better and how her family already called him “West”.
“But Baker is so Baker West and that’s just what we call him.” Dutton calls him Baker West, I call him Baker West (and) as his personality is much more West than Weston, so now he is Baker West.’
Fortunately for Lauren, the process of changing her child’s name was painless.
“It’s super easy if you want to change your child’s name and they’re under 1 year old.” Very easy, you just had to pay $15. So the new name: Baker West,” she added.
Lauren previously told Us Weekly that her child’s name was on a list of baby names she made on her phone.

“I had one of those lists of baby names that a lot of women probably have on their phone. Baker was there. I do not know. “I don’t really know anyone named Baker other than (football player) Baker Mayfield,” she previously told Us Weekly.
She and her husband Chris Lane, however, insisted they did not name their child after the footballer.
Lauren and her husband Chris, a country singer, have been married since 2019 and have two children.
Lauren and her husband welcomed Baker on the 22nd. on October 2022. Baker was born just over a year after his big brother Dutton, who arrived on June 8, 2021.
The reality star rose to fame after winning the heart of Ben Higgins on The Bachelor in 2016. They got engaged in the season finale and were together for two years before breaking up.
