Baby Gronk, also known as 10-year-old Madden San Miguel, has become a viral sensation on social media in recent weeks following an unofficial visit to LSU and meeting gymnast Olivia Dunne.

While he was already well known to those in football’s social media spaces, San Miguel’s visibility – and especially his father’s – has increased dramatically.

Several NFL and media personalities, including Paige Spiranac, have revealed that the father, Jake, is a fame-obsessed and desperate guardian. This was not illustrated more clearly than during an interview with Bring The Juice Podcast.

The fourth grader answered questions ranging from whether he would take TikTok sensation Dunne to prom and possibly forego soccer in high school.

Absurdly, clips dotted around Twitter show San Miguel’s father re-answering questions to convey the persona devised for the child.

Asked by host Frank Dalena if Baby Gronk is “him,” the kid sheepishly replied “yes.”

San Miguel’s father demanded that Dalena “ask that question again” before answering so his son could vomit.

“Man, what kind of question is that. Do you see my Instagram? “Say that,” Jake said to his son. San Miguel duly obliged before repeating the same tactic when the 10-year-old was asked to take Dunne to the prom.

Baby Gronk looked incredibly uncomfortable and shook his head, but didn’t seem to have an answer. Fortunately, or else, his father had one ready.

“You have to say, ‘I already DMed her and asked her, and she said yes.'” The hosts laughed as the young boy leaned back in his chair in apparent embarrassment.

FOX Sports reporter Greg Auman has criticized the coverage of the 10-year-old and his father

Jake noticed his reluctance and said, “Come on man, tell the mike.” And he did. This was repeated a number of times throughout the podcast.

Most horrifyingly, he was urged to say he would be “getting body massages by bad guys” as a means of staying in shape while skipping middle and high school football.

Like many others, football analyst Warren Sharp condemned San Miguel’s father’s behaviorsaying ‘the reactions his father gives him are cringe, it’s clear the father is in it for himself, the whole thing is embarrassing, feel sorry for the child.’

FOX Sports NFC South reporter Greg Auman echoed the sentiment, tweeting Tuesday; “I don’t want to read any more stories about Baby Gronk. No job interviews. I don’t want a response, or even an understandable criticism.

His father wants attention. The child does not need it. I’m just ignoring it beyond this tweet and don’t want to add to the fire.”

San Miguel’s online fame grew exponentially after unofficial visits to schools with prestigious football programs, such as the University of Florida, University of Texas, and University of Kentucky.
