Bundaberg West, Queensland: Four-month-old baby boy dies after being rushed to hospital – as cops launch urgent investigation

Police are investigating the death of a boy after the child died suddenly in hospital.
The four-month-old baby died in Bundaberg West on Saturday after being rushed to Bundaberg Hospital by paramedics on February 26.
The baby was then airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital in the early hours of the next day.
The child died four days later.
Queensland Police officers will investigate the circumstances leading to the boy’s death.
Specialist officers, including detectives from the Bundaberg Child Protection and Investigation Unit, have already launched an investigation.
Members of the Child and Trauma Department of the Crime and Intelligence Command are also involved.
Police will provide more information about the investigation later today.
Anyone with information about the boy’s death is being urged to come forward.
