Baby boom at Channel Seven as five reporters welcome children just months apart: ‘The great thing is we all have to share clothes’
Channel Seven has turned into a makeshift mom group after five reporters welcomed babies just months apart.
Angie Asimus, Amber Laidler, Sarina Andaloro, Gemma Acton and Natasha Clark all gave birth in the past year.
The most recent was Angie Asimus, who welcomed her daughter Scarlet into the world a week ago.
It is the second child for the reporter and her husband Chris Abbott, who have been together for 14 years and married in 2020.
“We would all like to have a little bit of a community together and share how we are doing. We’re all in it together,” said Angie The Daily Telegraph from the baby-crazy newsroom.

“The great thing is that we all have to share clothes because we all got pregnant at different times,” she added.

The toddler, who she shares with her AFL star husband Jeremy Laidler, was born eight weeks premature and spent six weeks in hospital before the couple could take him home.

The baby boom was handled well by Channel Seven management, the women revealed to The Daily Telegraph over the weekend.
Amber told the newspaper: “It’s so wonderful to have so many women around you who are so supportive and willing to lend a listening ear or offer advice when you need it.”
