Azealia Banks cancels her Melbourne concert just hours before the show

Azealia Banks left her Australian fans devastated after canceling her Melbourne show at the last minute on Saturday night.

The American rapper, 31, pulled the plug on her Festival Hall gig just hours before she was due to perform on stage, with her promoter Point Productions blaming “visa issues”.

In an official statement on Instagram, Point Productions wrote: “It is with great sadness that we announce that tonight’s show in Melbourne with Azealia Banks will not take place due to Azealia’s visa not being granted in time for her performance.”

The promoter also claimed that they are “exploring a new Melbourne date”, but Banks has since furiously insisted there will be no second show.

Reposting Point Productions’ original statement, Banks wrote: “Ahem, promoters held up, agreed to provide a number of services that were not provided.”

He did the same stunt in 2013, just 90 seconds after his performance at the Listen Out Festival in Melbourne.

Just a week later, he walked offstage 15 minutes into his Sydney set, claiming someone in the audience had thrown a bottle of beer at him.

Most recently, while performing at the Wynwood Pride concert, Miami, in June, Banks suffered another bizarre onstage breakdown, complaining about how promoters changed their call times.

‘I’m really not happy to be here. I’m trying, but it’s hard,” he told fans of him just before his mic was cut off as he said, “I really don’t want to be here.”
