Glamorous partygoers, dressed to the nines, as they soaked up the last of the late summer sun at Ayr Racecourse today.

Beautiful dresses were paired with elaborate fascinators, sky-high heels and plunging necklines as racegoers dressed up in green, pink and orange.

Female racegoers made the most of the third day of the Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup Festival.

The third day is of course Ladies Day, which means the female racegoers won’t disappoint with glamorous ensembles.

Bright colors seemed to be the trend of the day, with many fashionistas wearing seas of blue, pink and purple.

Many toned down their looks with muted accessories, including nude bags and silver heels.

A highlight of the racing calendar, the three-day meeting gives glamorous fans an excuse to dress up in their finery for an action-packed day.

Of course, no racing festival would be the same without a selection of elaborate fashion items and there were plenty of eye-catching choices on display.

While some opted for subtle fascinators and headbands, others went all out in creations adorned with feathers and colorful bows.

Short, fitted dresses were among the popular choices these days, while one reveler opted for a cream dress with a daring V-neck and sheer details.

Dressed in statement fascinators, sky-high heels, daring hemlines and ruffled dresses, well-dressed women seemed happy to be at today’s event.

Ahead of the event, Ayr Racecourse tweeted: ‘LADIES’ DAY IS ARRIVED! Tickets are still available at the gate today. Don’t miss this day full of exciting horse racing, fantastic fashion and endless enjoyment.’

Despite 14 degrees Celsius in chilly but sunny Scotland, racegoers dressed in sleeveless thigh-skimming looks.
