Ayesha Curry is PREGNANT! Actress, 34, and NBA star husband Steph Curry, 35, are expecting surprise fourth child: ‘Thought we were done’

Ayesha Curry and husband Steph Curry have announced that they are expecting their fourth child together.

The actress and cookbook author, 34, and her NBA star husband, 35, shared the news in Sweet July magazine – where she revealed the surprise that they were having another child.

She revealed the news by showing off her bare baby bump in a glossy shoot for the magazine.

Ayesha admitted that both she and Steph initially “thought we were done” with having any more children, but then said they decided last year that there was “someone missing” from their brood.

The couple currently share daughters Riley, 11, Ryan, eight, and son Canon, five.

In her Sweet July article, Ayesha revealed that she was on a “watermelon kick” and was craving Japanese peaches.

‘I’m still experiencing all the changes with this fourth pregnancy. I’ve had a watermelon kick, which is so strange and also a shame because they’re not really in season.

‘I’m craving these little Japanese peaches. I also had a three week stint with a very unhealthy McGriddle with sausage, egg and cheese.

“But one of the biggest differences is the new realization that this really does pass in the blink of an eye. And in the blink of an eye, it can all be taken away too. That has encouraged me to slow down and take in every little thing, especially since it is my last pregnancy.”

She also opened up about her experience having a child in her 30s, writing, “What was really interesting was the appointments with my doctor. I’m in my 30s, and so there’s all this paperwork referring to the experience as a “geriatric pregnancy” and all the worries that come with it.

‘I think there needs to be something more nuanced when it comes to women, their age and conversations about having children. Many women in their 30s and 40s are experiencing this for the first time, and being told you’re “old” feels alarming and wild. I think the narrative needs to shift a little bit.”

Ayesha also described the importance of following her own “maternal instincts.”

“What I’ve learned in all the noise about motherhood is that you really have to trust yourself. You can read a million books and take a thousand classes, but the most important thing is your maternal instinct. You always know what is best for you and your child. And no one’s situation is the same. Just as we are unique individuals, we also have unique parenting styles. I really think it is up to the parents to decide what is best for their child.
