Awkward moment Sopha Dopha tells Tony Armstrong to stop flirting with her at the TikTok awards – before he slaps her down with epic comeback

Sydney influencer Sopha Dopha was left red-faced after making a humiliating mistake during an interview at the 2023 TikTok Awards on Wednesday night.

The 19-year-old, real name Sophia Begg, was in the audience when presenter Tony Armstrong approached her for an on-camera interview.

Footage of their brief conversation has since gone viral after Sophia bizarrely told the TV presenter, 34, to stop flirting with her – despite the fact he has a girlfriend.

'How do you feel? You look ecstatic and I love you,” Tony said as he turned to Sophia, who was nominated for the Creator of the Year award.

'Thank you. Wow! Stop flirting with me!' Sophia replied, causing scattered laughter in the audience.

“I had a rough launch this week, mate. I don't know if you've heard the news…” Tony replied, referring to his new relationship with girlfriend Rona Glynn-McDonald.

The audience roared with laughter as Tony continued, “That wasn't flirting, that was flattery.”

Visibly embarrassed, Sophia covered her mouth with one hand before finally moving to respond, “No, thank you.” I'm happy to be here.'

Tony, ever the seasoned professional, brushed aside the awkwardness by asking Sophia how she felt about the prospect of winning Creator of the Year.

'Yes, I'm very excited. Very nervous, but excited for everyone who is up for the nomination,” she responded.

Critics have blasted Sophia on TikTok over the clip, with one commenting: “She definitely doesn't know what ecstatic means.”

“Omg the embarrassment this caused me,” someone else wrote.

“She clearly didn't understand the word ecstatic and the first reaction was to accuse him of flirting,” another added.

It came shortly after Sophia lost the Creator of the Year award to mom blogger Indy Clinton.

The blonde later ended her evening by visiting a Maccas drive-through Sydney to drown her sorrows, ssharing a photo of her fast food order on Instagram Stories.

The menu for that evening included a large Quarter Pounder meal, large Coke Zero, Filet-O-Fish and a medium fries.

With the meal totaling $28.50, Sophie captioned the photo: “Ofc a sneaky Maccas running on the way home.”

Despite the big loss, Sophie turned heads on the red carpet on the big night as she channeled her inner Kate Hudson and donned a yellow satin dress.

The gown looked virtually identical to the one the Hollywood actress, 44, wore in a scene from the hit early 2000s romantic comedy How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.

The dress skimmed her toned figure and a faux mermaid train tumbled onto the red carpet.

She paired the elegant look with a pair of white Prada pumps and a nude Fendi mini bag worth $1,095.

She opted for a gold bracelet and rings, and a bronzed makeup look.

The winner, Indy Clinton, 27, has over 1.5 million followers on TikTok, where she shares hilarious videos about hanging out with her husband and two children.

The blonde bombshell, who is pregnant with her third child, cut a glamorous figure as she attended the ceremony in Sydney and gave a winning speech in which she thanked her fans for their support.

'I have just won Creator of the Year 2023, thank you very much to everyone who voted for me. “I'm honestly blown away,” she said.
