Awkward moment Jimmy Carr says The Project was better when Charlie Pickering was the host seven years ago: ‘This show used to be something’

The Project hosts Sarah Harris and Waleed Aly were left speechless when comedian Jimmy Carr said the show was better with Charlie Pickering hosting on Wednesday.

The British-Irish comedian, 50, was being interviewed by Sarah, when she asked him if he had ever pulled a joke he regretted.

Jimmy jokingly replied that the only thing he couldn’t make fun of was how the show was better when Charlie was the host seven years ago.

‘Have you ever written a joke and come back from the concert? [and regretted it]?’ Sarah asked.

“I think the only thing that’s wrong and can’t be talked about is how this show was better with Charlie Pickering,” Jimmy replied.

‘This show used to be something, didn’t it? When that guy was here, it was fire,” she added as the hosts burst into laughter.
