A radio host expecting his first child has joined his wife – and best friend – in a very strange maternity shoot.
Nova 100 host Ben Harvey announced in January that his wife Samantha Wallace was pregnant and that his co-host Liam Stapleton would be taking on the role of the child’s godfather.
And Liam took matters into his own hands when he decided to arrange a maternity shoot for the couple.
But what was meant to be a healthy, intimate moment for the married couple and their soon-to-be child was tainted when Liam decided to put herself in the photos by taking part.
In one photo, taken by photographer Niki Sprekos, Ben stands behind his wife cradling her baby bump while Liam rests his head against her bare belly.

In another photo, Ben and Liam are seen cuddling together as Samantha looks on, clearly unimpressed.
The trio all wore matching outfits for the shoot – consisting of jeans and white button-up shirts.
Speaking on Nova 100’s Ben, Liam & Belle on Friday morning, Liam said the maternity shoot was one he would never forget.

“It was the happiest day of my life when Ben asked me to be his son’s godfather,” said Liam.
Ben replied, “Didn’t you get engaged last year?”
“I really wanted to capture this moment, a very special moment, where Sam is about to burst, we’re about to meet the little guy,” Liam continued. “I wanted to capture the moment forever.
“I’ve never been this close to your wife in a bra and probably never will again.”

Meanwhile, Ben said the whole experience was “uncomfortable” because he didn’t think they would expose “that much skin.”
Even the radio program’s listeners were uncomfortable with the images shared on the program’s Instagram account.
“I thought I had been hacked and followed an awkward page of family photos from the 1980s,” one user commented.
“I’m very uncomfortable right now…” added another.

Ben and Samantha married in front of family and friends in May last year at Woodburn Homestead in Strathalbyn, South Australia.
During the intimate ceremony, Ben’s brother James was the best man and Sam’s sister Catherine the bridesmaid, while the couple’s dog, Finley, appeared as a ring bearer.
His Nova co-host Liam Stapleton brazenly played the “Better Man” role, a role that didn’t allow him to give a speech or take on major responsibilities.
The couple had been together for over seven years after meeting in an Adelaide nightclub and got engaged in 2020.

The radio host popped the question while on holiday with Sam’s family in Port Douglas, Queensland, on Dec. 29, 2020
“Went snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef and that night I told her I had organized dinner. We went out the door and down the hallway to her mom and dad’s room, and the whole family was there… I did it in front of her family,” he explained at the time.
“It was pretty intimidating… The lights were all off so when someone turned them on they were all there and she didn’t know what was going on and started to panic.”
Ben then explained how he got down on one knee and didn’t know what to say.
“I had no intention of what I was going to say. For example, I could say a few words about spending the rest of my life with you… she was crazy, like ‘what’s going on?’, ‘what are you doing?’,’ he said.
“Even before I got the ring out, she said ‘yes’ and I took it out and put it on her finger.”
The prankster added that he hired a private chef to have the couple eat Japanese in the hotel room afterwards because “that’s her favorite.”
“We’ve been dating for five and a half years, so it was about time,” he said.
