A police officer was left red-faced when he turned up to shut down a rowdy party only to be mistaken for a stripper.
The police officer can be seen standing sheepishly at the door as several women crowd around him, holding up their phones to film him, some chanting, “Stripper, stripper.”
The officer smiles awkwardly as he continues talking to the partygoers.
“When the cops come to shut down your event but y’all think he’s a stripper,” the video’s caption reads.
Further commentary is added below.
“The way he finally just left because everyone around him started twerking,” alisabyquar captioned the clip published on TikTok.
What might add to the cop’s blush is that one of the commenters thinks she knows who he is.
“Omfg, wait a minute, I’m asking my husband if this guy worked at his station. I swear I’ve seen it before,” the comment reads.
“If he works in Sydney City then it’s probably him,” the account holder replies with a laughing emoji.
Another partygoer confirmed this happened.
“And then we all start twerking on him,” they wrote.
The officer managed to keep a cool head while being subjected to enthusiastic female attention
“He liked it so much he left, ahahaha,” said another comment.
Some expressed their condolences for the officer’s fate.
“Poor guy,” someone commented.
It was a tricky case of mistaken identity for this NSW police officer when he attended a rowdy party
Others, however, thought it wasn’t that much of a trauma.
“Guy’s career highlight,” they said.
Police have been contacted for comment.
