Avatar: The Way of Water will soon be available to watch at home

Avatar: the way of the water will soon escape the confines of cinemas, where it is already the third highest-grossing film of all time, for its first-ever home release. The sequel will make its way to digital video-on-demand platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Vudu, and Movies Everywhere starting March 28, when fans will be able to purchase the movie for themselves.

The VOD release of Avatar: the way of the water comes with the movie itself, in formats such as high-definition and 4K, as well as dozens of bonus features. The bonus features include several featurettes such as how the world of Pandora was built, how the movie was shot, what it was like to work underwater for the actors and crew, and a few features about the cast’s experience with the movie.

Although this is the first time the avatar sequel will be available on home release, it’s not necessarily the one people are really waiting for. That title was supposed to be the Disney Plus release of the movie, but there’s no date for that yet. Since the movie won’t arrive on paid VOD platforms until late March, it’s safe to say it won’t hit Disney’s streaming service until April at the earliest.
