The upcoming animated movie Avatar: The Last Airbender will be released on October 10, 2025.
Paramount Pictures confirmed that the project will be released at CinemaCon in two years with the original characters appearing as adults.
The studio has released a first image of the film which features Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph and Zuko in their late 20s and early 30s.
Given the age of the characters, the movie will take place sometime between Avatar: The Last Airbender and the beginning of The Legend of Korra.
The movie will be the first of three animated Avatar movies that Avatar Studios is planning for fans of the franchise.

According to cbr.comthe second film will revolve around Zuko and the studio is planning a 2026 release.
The third film will reportedly be a sequel to The Legend of Korra and will revolve around the Earth Avatar.
Avatar is set in a world where humans can manipulate one of the elements – water, earth, fire, or air – through practices known as “bending.”
The only person who can control all four elements – the Avatar – is responsible for maintaining harmony between the four nations of the world.
The series debuted in 2005 and ran for three seasons on Nickelodeon.
The show came to US Netflix in May 2020 and became the most popular show within a week of its release.
The series was critically acclaimed and is now considered a cult classic and one of the best animated shows of all time.
A live-action series is currently in development at Netflix and will consist of eight one-hour episodes.
