Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora trailer: New footage has been shared of the upcoming open-world action-adventure game based on the Avatar film series

A new trailer for the upcoming open-world video game Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora was released on Friday.

The clip contrasted Pandora’s wonders with the destruction wrought by RDA forces, while giving fans a deeper understanding of the publication’s PC-specific features.

The game will serve as a spin-off of the film series, in which Matt Damon could have taken part, had he not turned down a role in the first film.

The trailer opened with several scenes showcasing Pandora’s breathtaking landscapes and native species.

An intense battle was then shown, with the player using a bow and arrow to face the RDA forces, before a Na’vi elder asked, “You’re new, aren’t you, to this world?”

The game’s settings menu, where players can make specific changes related to graphics quality, was also showcased.

After various other technical features were shown, a Na’vi warrior declared that “we have to take the fight to them” before jumping off a cliff and climbing a mountain banshee.

The player was then shown taking part in a dogfight with an RDA helicopter, which exploded in mid-air, before launching an attack on a human settlement.

The trailer ended with the player flying his banshee to the heavily forested western frontier of Pandora.

The development of the project was first revealed to the public in 2017, five years after the first Avatar movie was released.

Players control a member of the Na’vi who has been kidnapped by RDA forces and suddenly awakens on Pandora.

The character must then deal with the RDA’s return to the planet, while also learning more about Na’vi culture and life on Pandora.

Avatar creator James Cameron spoke earlier IGN and told the media that the franchise’s creative team was “really excited about what Ubisoft is doing with the writing of their games.”

Massive Entertainment president David Polfeldt added, “Cameron said everyone… has a dream that we can fulfill, and that is to go to Pandora and exist on Pandora.”
