Avatar director James Cameron lists his 100-acre oceanside California ranch for $33 MILLION
Director James Cameron has listed his 102-acre home in California for a cool $33 million.
The 68-year-old filmmaker – who recently shared his expertise on the OceanGate submarine – is ready to let the ocean complex go after more than 20 years.
The property, which Cameron shares with his wife Suzy Amis Cameron, is in the gated Hollister Ranch neighborhood of Gaviota.
The oasis was listed by Emily Kellenberger of Village Properties/Forbes Global Properties and Jeff Kruthers of Hollister Ranch Realty, People reported.
The Cameron digs feature an 8,000-square-foot main house, a 2,000-square-foot guest house, a sprawling 24,000-square-foot barn, and a helipad.

The couple took ownership of the ranch in the late 1990s after spending just $4.3 million.
The duo, who spend most of their time in New Zealand, gave the home a personal touch by incorporating Rocky Mountain quartzite floors and restored hardwoods.
Cameron told the Wall Street Journal that “the previous owner had a lot of marble.”
“We brought it back to something that felt connected to the country,” he explained to the publication.
A fireplace separates the all-wood kitchen and dining space from the stone-topped great room.
The area is enclosed by white walls and wood paneled windows.
The master bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows features a fireplace and a wooden four-poster bed.
The future owner of the mansion will enjoy astonishing views of the ocean and mountains.

Another selling point of the estate is the rustic high vaulted wood ceilings, which can be enjoyed throughout the property.
The house, where Cameron wrote parts of the Avatar movies, has what the screenwriter describes as a “Hawaii resort” style.
Several rooms offer the possibility to be opened to palm trees, plants and flowers.
And outside, the digs have a large pool surrounded by trees overlooking the Pacific Ocean. In addition, there is a large garden.
To go even further, the house is complete with two wells that can be used for drinking and irrigation water.
James’ spectacular home also features solar wind and power capabilities.
Those who then buy the house can also enjoy a gym, a theater, double offices and a games room.
The Titanic director shared with the WSJ that he enjoys observing marine life at home, something he is passionate about.

Last month, Cameron made headlines for sharing his expertise on the unfortunate demise of five people who died while attempting to explore the Titanic’s wreckage.
The Canadian-born mogul is a diving expert who has visited the most famous sea wreck in the world 30 times.
He said the recent tragedy parallels the disaster of 1912, where the captain repeatedly ignored warnings about an incoming iceberg but continued at top speed.
The people on the Titan were killed instantly when the submarine suffered a “catastrophic implosion” just 500 meters from the bow of the wrecked ocean liner.
