There are serious concerns about the well-being of an 18-year-old autistic student who was last seen by a train station at 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Katherine Tran has not been seen since her photo was captured by security cameras at Sydney’s Merrylands station in the early hours of Wednesday.
She walks down a slope wearing a black Lonsdale zip-up jacket, a green school uniform tartan skirt with thongs and a black holstered bag over one shoulder.
This photo of 18-year-old schoolgirl Katherine Tran was taken at 3am Wednesday morning at Merrylands train station in Sydney and is the last known location of the missing girl.
The missing schoolgirl has her hands in her coat pockets and stares straight ahead with no sign of emotion.
Tran left her home on Wingello Street in Sydney’s western suburb of Guildford at 1am on Wednesday.
Police told Daily Mail Australia that this was ‘out of character’ and her family were very concerned.
Tran is in year 12 and is currently taking HSC exams.
Family and police are deeply concerned about missing schoolgirl Katherine Tran (pictured) and say leaving the family home at 1am on Wednesday was very ‘abnormal’
Police believe she travels on the public rail network and is known to enjoy hanging out in Parramatta Westfields shopping center and in the CBD.
She is described as Asian in appearance, about 6 feet tall, solidly built and dark haired.
Anyone with information that could help locate Tran is urged to contact police immediately.
