Australia’s ‘Prime Minister’ makes a surprise cameo on Lego Masters – but there’s a catch

On Sunday’s episode of Lego Masters, Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli fooled the contestants with a hilarious prank.

The presenter and comedian walked on stage dressed in a suit after co-star Hamish Blake introduced him as a ‘very special guest’.

Hamish joked that Australia’s ‘Prime Minister’ was on his way, but Wippa would emerge.

The teams, from Germany, the US, France and Denmark, were none the wiser.

“I was so surprised that we met the Prime Minister,” laughed Ida, a member of Team Denmark.

“I thought, ‘When am I ever going to meet the Prime Minister of Australia?’ she added.

Hamish said the real Prime Minister Anthony Albanese could not appear.

The teams quickly realized it was a joke when they noticed Hamish giggling through the joke.

It comes after Channel Nine’s highest-paid star was revealed – and Lego Masters presenter Hamish Blake topped the list with his eye-watering seven-figure salary.
