“That was great,” Voyager’s Scott Key said during an interview with Today this week.

‘It’s such a funny place. I’m thinking of trying to run a metal gig in that place!” he added.

“It probably worked for the Beatles, but I’m not sure it would work for Voyager!”

Voyager returns to a heroic hometown next month with a free gig in Perth for WA Day.

The event will take place in Burswood Park on June 5 and 6, with the rockers sharing the top of the bill with pop star and Australian Idol judge Amy Shark.

Former Hunters and Collectors frontman Mark Seymour, fan favorites Baby Animals and electro-pop artist Boox Kid will also star at the two-day festival.

Voyager plays on Sunday, June 6.

Formed in Perth in 1999, the band finished 9th as an Australian entrant in the Eurovision 2023 song competition.

The band wowed fans at the finals in Liverpool earlier this month with their synth-metal tune Promise earlier this month.
