Over 100 A-list stars were in the festive spirit when they gathered for Australia’s most elite Christmas party.

A who’s who of Australian entertainment, politics, business, sport and media gathered Thursday at the palatial mansion that News Corp co-chairman Lachlan Murdoch shares with his wife Sarah in the exclusive suburb of Bellevue Hill. in sydney.

The soiree at the harborside mansion is the annual end-of-year gathering for Newscorp’s world friends and its biggest stars.

Sky News presenter Peter Stefanovic was one of the first to arrive, dressed in a white business shirt and suit jacket.

He was followed by one of Murdoch’s neighbors, News Corp Australasia CEO Michael Miller, holding hands with his wife.

Qantas Chief Executive Alan Joyce has arrived ready to let his hair down after a tumultuous year for the airline. while Sky News presenter Andrew Bolt arrived at the Murdoch mansion in a taxi.

Sky News presenter Laura Jayes arrived in a yellow dress with a plunging neckline and adorned with dangling earrings and gold bangles. She was accompanied by her colleague Paul Murray.

Sky News colleague Sharri Markson arrived in a long, patterned dress.

NRL boss Andrew Abdo, along with his wife Anna, topped the line-up of sports figures on the guest list which also included AFL boss Gillon McLachlan and former Australian Football Federation chief executive , David Gallop.

Qantas CEO Alan Joyce arrived ready to let his hair down after a tumultuous year

Retiring NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard led a series of invited politicians including Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson and former federal minister turned opposition treasurer Angus Taylor.

Commonwealth Bank chief executive Matt Comyn, Macquarie Bank director Shemara Wikramanayake and NSW government official Michael Coutts-Trotter, husband of Federal Minister Tanya Plibersek, also mingled with the Murdochs.

Murdoch’s lawyer, Sue Crysanthou, was also on the guest list.

A host of radio stars were also in attendance, including rival breakfast announcers Ben Fordham of 2GB and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli of Nova, which is owned by Murdoch’s private investment company.

A notable absentee from last year’s party was Kate Ritchie following her surprise departure from her Nova radio show.

The former Home and Away star confirmed on Thursday that he is undergoing rehab due to an “unhealthy dependency on alcohol.”
