‘Australian TV needs more of this! Less mafs and whatever channel 7 is pumping. Keep it up Channel Ten, Taskmaster is so refreshing,” wrote one viewer.

Another viewer liked Tom and the format.

“Great job Taskmaster, excellent host, co-host and crew for season 1. I think there should be an Aust Vs UK: Taskmaster ‘ash’ series in the next few years,” wrote another.

Viewers were crazy about the series and clearly found the quirky format enjoyable.

Another one else enjoyed the episode.

‘Much better episode of Taskmaster tonight. Seems like the flow of the show is better with best jokes ever,” they wrote.

‘The slightest laugh from the fake audience also makes a difference.’

Taskmaster premiered last week on February 2 and starred some of Australia’s best-known comedians.

The Project’s Tom Cashman starred alongside Utopia’s Luke McGregor and Nina Oyama, Jimmy Rees and stand-up favorites Julia Morris and Danielle Walker.

Based on a hit UK show, Australian variety reports that the format has been sold to 12 countries, including New Zealand, Sweden and Denmark.

One of the challenges included the cast struggling to sink a bowling ball while sitting on a pontoon.

He also has a YouTube channel, an app, and a board game.

An American version, released in 2018 on the Comedy Channel, failed to take off with viewers and was removed after one season.

It was later relaunched in 2020 on the CW, but was taken off the air after just one episode due to low ratings.
