Australian tourists in Bali slammed for bad behaviour

Furious Aussie loses it over bad behavior of ‘bogans’ in Bali after witnessing holidaymakers ‘getting crushed’ and ‘swearing like troopers’ at pool bar

A fed-up traveler has berated fellow Australians for their unruly behavior in Bali, after seeing them ‘crushed’ and ‘swearing like troopers’ at a poolside bar.

Tourist Tom Ash posted his complaint on Bali Bogans social media on Monday, which went viral with travelers agreeing that Aussies need to ‘clean up their act’.

It comes after a 23-year-old man from Indonesia’s Sunshine Coast was jailed following an alleged drunken and violent rampage off Sumatra’s west coast last month.

‘We love Bali. Sadly, there is a small minority of Aussies who continue to misbehave,” Ash said in the post.

‘[They] getting crushed at the pool bar and cursing like troopers. Doesn’t create a relaxed atmosphere. In the future we will choose places more carefully.’

Fellow travelers on the online group agreed with the irate tourist.

‘100 percent. This is what happened at [our hotel] at Christmas – disgusting behavior,” said one person.

“The saddest part is we know they came from OZ. Get ready, boys and girls, and show some respect.’

Another wrote: ‘I stayed in [one hotel] and there were six people in the pool for over seven hours and not once did they leave to go to the toilet – luckily I went home that night.’

A third added, “Yeah, we’re leaving Aus-land for that reason lol.”

“I’m ashamed to be Australian,” said a fourth.

But one commenter disagreed, saying Australians are the “greatest travellers”.

“I like us Aussies… [are] always helping people at other airports to find gates, giving someone a lighter, travel tips in general.’

Mr Ash admitted that Australians only have one thing.

“I’ve found that Aussies have the most polite nationality at the breakfast buffet, so it’s not all bad.”
