Australian TikTok star Sophia Begg is trolled after selling a ‘tacky’ gift box containing fake tanning products and a trucker hat for $89, but some of her fans can’t wait to buy them.
Australian influencer Sophia Begg received a mixed reception after selling $89 gift boxes to her Instagram followers.
The 18-year-old TikTok star took to Instagram on Friday to promote her beauty gift bags that include self-tanning mousse, sunscreen, earrings and a trucker hat.
Celebrity Watch Account Influencer Updates shared her post on her page and Sophia was quickly criticized in the comments for promoting ‘mass produced garbage’.

One follower didn’t mince words writing, “I’m secondhand embarrassed at how vulgar it is,” and another said the gifts belonged in an Easter display bag.
Fortunately, many of Sophia’s 463,000 followers were more receptive to the boxes, commenting that they couldn’t wait to buy one.
One fan said: ‘I know what I’m spending my Christmas money on!’ while another congratulated her for having had ‘the best idea’.

Sophia made headlines last year after receiving criticism online for filming herself driving to McDonald’s in her Mercedes to buy 50 Big Macs for a homeless shelter.
In November 2021, she shared a video of her accumulating a $322.50 bill as she collected the burgers to deliver to homeless charity Will2live.
He said he was “killing two birds with one stone” by buying hamburgers on McHappy Day, the fast-food chain’s annual fundraiser in which $2 from every Big Mac sold is donated to sick children and their families.

Commenters accused her of using charity work to gain a following and questioned why she couldn’t have donated the money to charity.
“In all honesty, you should have donated the money directly to Ronald McDonald House (McDonald’s partner charity),” one person wrote.
The model responded in a TikTok video, saying she was just sharing her charity work on the social media platform to raise awareness for Will2live and McHappy Day.
Sophia rose to fame with her quirky TikTok videos and has since collaborated with major fashion retailers, including Beginning Boutique and White Fox Boutique.
